The Solution

FoodSave is a 'Too Good To Go' for Malaysia — a mobile app connecting hungry consumers with F&B outlets selling surplus food at 50-70% discount. Restaurants/bakeries/hotels list 'Surprise Bags' of unsold food at end of day → users browse nearby, pay RM5-15 via app → pick up during designated time window. Rating system for food quality and value. Restaurant dashboard: track waste reduction, revenue recovery from surplus, carbon offset metrics. Free for consumers. Restaurants pay 15% commission per order (only when food sells — zero risk).

4-Week Validation Plan

• Week1: Interview 30 F&B owners about their daily food waste volume, disposal costs, and willingness to sell surplus at discount.
• Week2: Partner with 10 bakeries and restaurants in Bangsar/Damansara. List daily 'Surprise Bags'. Test consumer demand with 200 users.
• Week3: Measure: bags sold per day, average discount, restaurant satisfaction, consumer repeat rate.
• Week4: Analyze: >100 bags/week sold AND >60% restaurant retention after week 2 = commit; <50 bags/week = pivot to B2B food waste tracking.
